I absolutely love to sail!

I truly believe that sailing is an incredibly amazing sport that offers unique experiences and adventures. My first time on a sailboat was at the age of 5 and unfortunately, it did not go so well! I got seasick! I have come a long way since then!

As a young sailor I have competed in many sailing races, some in much rougher conditions than others. My proudest time was winning second place in the Falcon Cup, held in August on Lake Erie. That day it was blowing over 25 knots and there were 4-6 foot waves! It was quite the wild adventure and taught me so much about how to stay calm under pressure.

There's something magical and amazing about being out on the water, feeling the wind in your hair, and the sun on your skin, while navigating the seas, lakes, and oceans.

I created Girls in the Wind to help introduce more girls to the exciting world of sailing. I want each and every one of you to feel like you are not alone in your sailing journey - whether you are new to the sport or have experience. Here you can learn about all of the bits and pieces of sailing and be a part of an amazing community. I’m so glad you are here!
