Girls in the Wind is here to make that world feel accessible, welcoming, and inspiring for every girl — from complete beginners to seasoned young sailors looking for more.

This is a place to grow courage, voice, and leadership. A place to step outside your comfort zone, feel the wind on your face, and discover what you’re capable of. If you’re curious about sailing, if you’re already in love with the water, or if you’re simply looking for a community that lifts girls up — you belong here.

Why Sailing?

Sailing teaches girls skills that stay with them for life. You learn to read the wind, adjust to changing conditions, solve problems quickly, and stay focused when things get tough. You gain confidence, independence, and the sense that you can take the helm — in sailing and beyond it.

For girls, sailing offers something rare: the chance to lead from day one. To feel strong and capable. To experience the thrill of guiding a boat across the water with your own hands.
